NOT the kind you drink.

In the late '60s, most of us pretty much tucked them into the crevice
between the seat bottom and seat back. They were considered (by most - me
included) as a nuiscenc.

Time and experience (maybe even Ralph) has taught (most of) us differently.

Personally, in recent years, I've caught myself automatically cinching up
before turning the key even when I'm only moving the car a few feet in my
own driveway. Odd, but safe - and probably not a bad habit.

Oh, an interesting side note - which I had occasion to research recently -
In IL, the law only requires the seat belt to be "clicked" synched when the
car is in a forward gear.

While it might be a smart thing to do, I'm not mentally ready to equip my
nearly 50 year old car with an air bag device.
