Did you see the article in Friday's Detroit News about "GM's Best and
Baddest?"

It mentioned cars in each decade since the 1900's.  Of course I
immediately looked in the 1960's, expecting to have the Corvair as one of
the "baddest."  To my surprise this is what it said "The muscle era
peaked during the '60s with the introduction of cars like the 1967
Chevrolet Camaro.  But the 1960 Chevrolet Corvair, with its rear engine
and air-cooled system, was an incredible machine.  Consumer activist
Ralph Nader created a career by trash-talking ths lovely machine. 
Ironically, most of the car's problems were fixed by the time the model
was discontinued."
