<VV> I can't Believe

Smitty Says:  I got Spike started this morning right after I wrote my post to VV.  Didn't have time to write the result then because I had to go help a clubbie in distress.  I see all kinds of answers in my mailbox but havent read them yet.  Thanks in advance to all who answered and I am sure there are some good replys there.
  Long story short;  here is what the problem was.  When I applied power to the nice big high performance coil it did indeed make a noce hot spark.  If I had kept cranking though I would have seen the spark dwindle down to nothing.  Every time I tested I got the spark but very soon it quit.  Fooled me and shame on me for not finding it sooner.
