<VV> Lifter Bore Repair

I have seen this mentioned here before.

We got a '65 500 Four Door a while back.  Really cool car complete 
stripper minus the 140 
four speed.     Motor was siezed hard!   Tear down revealed a spun 
bearing on #5, and #2  rod thrown so hard it had punched through the 
lifter area.   Had likely brought the car to a screeching halt as well, 
the flywheel bolt heads were sheared and there was a 3/8th's inch divot in 
the crank.    We discovered the protecto plate - with block number.   So 
we wanted 
to save the block.    Found a old timer ( he is listed in the Care and 
Feeding of your Corvair guide)   who rebuilt the area with TIG fill and 
sleeved and rebored the lifter bores.

Result is we saved the block which is low mileage and original to the car.
