<VV> heater diverter question

I made a mounting strip to hang the fan housing. It sounds like your diverting doors aren't working.  If you need instant defrosted heat. I installed a $17.99 12 volt heater where my worn out radio speaker was. The instant heat comes up through the holes in the dash for the speaker. The OE defroster follows quickly.  I hope this helps somewhat.
I had to rebuild my entire heating system.  I can see why these vans never caught on in the nothern climates.
