<VV> Greenbrier runs great in Maine winter

This will be the first winter I used  my FC as a 2nd vehicle. It passed a rigorous safety inspection last April. The previous owner had replaced the brake system and front suspension, but the FC had sat on a city street for 2 years when he took ill and the fuel pump failed.
I decided to do some last minute Xmas shopping some 20 miles away.   This would be a good test of my heating system repairs. It took about 5 miles to warm up the closed off front seat area to a constant 50 degrees F. The FC produces great heat when climbing hills. I did repair the shrouds but even when closed I couldn't notice much of a difference in the below freezing weather. The biggest help was closing off drafts from the front air vents.
I also replaced the Bosch spark plugs that were already there with hotter Champions and it made a big difference in power. I use high octane gas with a tetra-ethyl lead additive which results in better response in power.
Lastly, shoppers were waiting to ask me questions about the FC when I came out of every store.     The only time this ever happened before was when I drive my 1970 Catalina stationwagon that I  inherited five years ago.  Most people never have seen one and many wish GM would make a simple van like this again!
