<VV> Converting a Corvair to electric viable?

Some people like Corvairs, some don't, most never will. That's fine by me.

Some see the value in electric vehicles, some don't, some don't, most never
will. That's fine by me.

My own definition (your mileage will almost certainly vary) of a viable
vehicle is one that deals with my regular retirement commute (in a few
months) - living on an island with a 20 km round trip to anywhere and a 60
km/hour posted speed limit. That might be a scooter, an econobox or
whatever, even (gasp) an electric Corvair!) For trips beyond that I use my
truck or Corvair.

Whatever happened to "each his own" and "live and let live"? Why are we
ridiculing other people's ideas just because they don't suit our preferences
and personal context?

Regards and Happy New Year (and if anybody wants to buy me one of those
awful Tesla's, I'd be eternally grateful! (VBG) )
Bob

If I bought a Tesla, I couldn't even make it home from the dealer. That is
not the definition of a viable car! You'd have to truck it around like a
Sedgway.
