i have over 200ft of soldered copper 3/4 or larger in my new shop. air  drops 
all over the place. i also have 3 air drops in my cellar off the same  
compressor. the compressor is in the garage separated with a 17ft breezeway so  
noise is not a problem. the shop is only @12ft from the back of the garage.i  
added a 100 gal tank in the shop because of the demands from my blast cabinet.  
the compressor is one of those new napa 7hp units..wont do what my antique 4hp  
gardner denver unit did at the other house , but it seems to do what i  need. 
so far i am pleased with this setup , good thing , because it was a heck  of a 
lot of work to install.  i also put in a lot of heavy wiring for the  welder 
,  the old recycled built in oven i cook heads in , and my upstairs  ham radio 
equipment (yet to get setup).
i have the new  type pex tubing running water underground inside black  
plastic pool tubing to feed the bathroom i cobbled in the new shop.  i have  a wall 
electric heater set at 40 to protect it all. so far things are working  well.
now i can do almost anything i want to my cars in peace!!  (except  club 
projects that come up).
so long as that plastic is deemed safe by authorities i would use it if i  
had known earlier..gotta be cheaper!!
