Ordinary copper water pipe (tubing) is great for compressed air. For
those who want the skinny from the CDA (Copper Development Association)
download their handbook from:

Interesting to note that even common type M is higher rated than we need
for compressed air use (table 3c). The limiting factor is found in table
4, the strength of joints. 50/50 Tin Lead is the weakest, rated at only
200 psi @ 100 degrees F. Common lead free solder will give you 500 psi @
200 degrees F. That should be good enough for most shops!. Brazing the
joints gives the same rating as the annealed pipe charts.
ACR tubing is waay above our needs, and harder to find at the big box
stores.
