I remove wiper arms without tools. Assuming the splines are reasonably clean, it's a matter of lifting opposite the arm, while pressing down on the arm side. The arm stays on the drum by being cocked by the wiper arm spring. Counteract that force and the arm simply lifts off. Your fingers might hurt! :) -ron 65,66
