<VV> Corvair model kits

It all depends on what you call "reasonably priced".

It all has been a market for supply and demand.

And it depends on exactly what you are looking for.

Simply saying a Corvair model is not narrowing the field down too much as
there have been literally hundreds of Corvair models made over the years.

The most common model now is the AMT 1969 model, currently available from
the major vendors, and still on the shelves of hobby shops. This is a
hardtop kit which includes a convertible top boot if you are creative and
want to cut the top off. Internet model car distributors should also have
this one left. This kit is now out of production so $12 to $20 is not
unreasonable. You can buy a convertible body for this kit in resin, it comes
up frequently on e-bay.

There are also "Annual kits" long out of production, All years, available
from e-bay.

A smaller late model by Aurora.

And the "holy Grail" is the AMT "Hemi Corvair" model, which is pretty high
in price, and hard to come by.

Early model kits are available in various scales from AMT, Premier, and
Palmer. These are now out of production so best source is e-bay and toy
shows.

There are current Resin kits available for both the Rampside and the Corvair
van, about $42 each on e-bay.

Also a Resin body of the Lakewood wagon that comes up now and again.

There was a Rampside model kit by a small company that comes up now and
again for big bucks.

There are also the Concept Corvair plastic model kits, of the Bertone
Testudo, Monza GT, and Monza SS.

Don't even get me started on Toys, Diecast, slot cars, Tin, Steel, Plastic,
Blow molded, etc...

There are well over 1000 toys and variations of the Corvair.

Are you looking for plastic or die cast models ?

Both are available form Corsa members and online (Craig's list, eBay, etc)

Only one plastic model of the late model Monza coupe is currently available
of which I am aware, but there have been scale models of every year of
Corvair production, made by AMT Corp, mostly available during that year,
except as collectibles.

There are diecasts of the 1963 Monza coupe and 1969 Monza convertibles, as
well.

There are lots more and I think there is a list available from someone here,

right ?
