AAA garages back in the 50's and 60's had sets of gm briggs keys supplied  to 
them in a lock kit.  i ended up with most of one that has opened (with  
patience!!) most any early corvair lock sooner or later.  then i take that  number 
key to get more made. i also used to have a gm parts guy who could  make me 
keys from a lock supplied.  either by number or disassembly to look  at the 
tumblers.  he had a neat kit and plier like took to do this  with.
