<VV> Split boot on ball joint

Crappy rubber formulation. I installed a "new" set of balljoint boots on
our UltraVan while I had the suspension apart. I've driven it somewhere
around 400 miles and both boots are split all the way up to the stud. They
were the "Help" ie "Motormite" if that helps at all but I really think it is
a crap shoot as the actual manufacturer probably varies with each lot.

I notice quite a bit of the "repo" rubber parts have a tendency to be that
way. Must be something in the formula that isn't quite right as they
shouldn't do that. I have no idea how to tell if you've got a bad one
before installing it. Sucks though!!
