 From my '65 shop manual, Specifications section:

Transmission - Lubricant - Multipurpose Gear Lubricant SAE80, capacity 
3spd - 2.2 pts   4spd - 3.6 pts

Differential - Lubricant - Multipurpose Gear Lubricant SAE80 meeting 
requirements of U.S. Ordnance Spec. MIL-L-2105B  Capacity - 4.5 pts
