Roger pretty much nailed it.  This is the most natural 'car folk' site I have ever
seen.  Everyone is free to express their ideas and others are free to listen or
delete.  

Every year it is my privilege to serve my fellow Corvair enthusiasts at the
Detroit Area Corvair Club Homecoming.  Passing out food for the entire 
weekend keeps me in the Hospitality room most of the time so I get to hear
comments and discussions of everyone in the food line and sitting at the tables.
Those discussions, although loosely related to Corvairs, cover a wide variety of 
subjects ... just like this forum.  

A lot of really good information is shared and there is quite a bit of 'private' 
humor and even the occasional rude post ... I can recall one fella that 'says'
a lot, likes to drop names and thinks he knows more about Corvair handling 
than Frank; and another that claims to know everything about Corvairs to the
point of being unable to accept new information ... but I wouldn't change a 
thing.  Scooters to airplanes ... it is all fair game for 'car folk.'
