<VV> Water Leak

Hi Pete,

The early Corvair has what I consider a design flaw in the rocker drains.
There is no provision for draining the forward rocker so if the car is
facing slightly downhill, water entering between the rear quarter window and
the fuzzy strip runs forward, filling up the rocker and then overflowing
through the heater duct opening and onto the front floor. There is no way
for the water to get to the drain hole for the front plenium because there
is a solid wall in the way. This may or may not be your case since leaks
can come from a variety of other places. To cure this leak though, I
recommend drilling a 3/4" drain hole. You can locate the proper location
for this hole by removing the heater grill and defroster valve body. Put
the hole in the lower most, front corner of the rocker behind the heater
outlet.
