Every time I wash my 64 Monza,I get water on the front floor. I recall reading and/or hearing some thing about a problem with the air vents leaking. I cannot remember the info [old age?]. It is not the windshield area,as this is a solid car.Pete

Smitty Says: Pete have you checked the cleanout holes on the forward bottoms of the rocker panels. They are there to drain the grilled plenum across in front of the windshield. Stick your finger and a hooked wire up in there and clean out all the mud and dead leaves. Next (as suggested), pull the top of the carpet down from the firewall and stick water from a hose in the grill and see if you get water from there. Go in the trunk and about the center of the cutter that runs side to side under the master cyl, look for the stamped depression in the metal on the back side. There is a small round drain there that is supposed to drain that gutter and run the water out onto the gas tank. If you get water from the aft bulkhead in the trunk or from the top of the firewall after this then you will likely have to reseal the seam under the grill all the way across the car.
You didn't say but if you have a convertible, you may have other problems. full disclosure of the situation will get you better answers for a cure.
