if i want to put an FC powerglide in a car without a cooler , would i plug
the cooler lines or put a "loop" of tubing between them?
any input on safe installation of pistons on rods at home? homemade
fixture? press? torch to heat?
does heating the eye with a torch compromise the metallurgy of the rod end?
i have an engine here that has what looks like new rods in it, but at least
one damaged piston. i plan on putting new octane cut pistons and jugs on it
soon. just dont want to waste those new looking rods as cores. (this is a 140
pg engine) the crank looks and measures as new..
this with 110 heads should be perfect for my 64 a/c coupe.
regards, tim colson
