This method is valid for the rear left wheel only. For the rear right wheel are mirrored.

It can be done with manual transmissions and non posi diffs. Secure one side's wheels with blocks or whatever you have to avoid car movement. Jack the rear wheel on the other side. Engage 3rd gear (if a 3 sp. gear box) or 4th gear (if a 4 sp.). With engine off and coil wire disconected (for security) turn engine rear pulley, or damper, clockwise with a 3/4" wrench till the notch on pulley aligns with 0 marking behind the distributor. Put a chalk mark on wheel at the 12 o'clock position and one more aligned on the fender. Turn engine pulley (clockwise), for 2 full turns. Check position of the chalk mark at wheel.

Mark at:

4 o'clock = 3.08 diff.
3 " = 3.27 "
Between 1-2 o'clock = 3.55 diff.
Slightly past 12 o'clock = 3.89 diff.
Slightly before 12 o'clock = 4.11 diff.

Hope this help
