<VV> Clutch problem

Mike - What is the actual thickness in thousandths of an inch of the
disk? It should be around .340. (Keep in mind that you need to compress
the bellville spring in the disc to get a correct reading). I am working
a rare Sunday here but will be here in the morning until 9:30. If for
some reason the disc you have is anything greater than .350-360 then
send me an e mail and I will air out another Kevlar disc. If the problem
is the plate I will do the same.

On a late clutch the fingers should depress under bolting but NOT to the
point where they are flat (paralell with the assembly). The fingers,
dics thickness etc WILL be thinner than the new stuff , because its worn
and worked in. Please let me know what you find. Dimensional defects by
our clutch manufacturer are VERY rare - but anything can happen and it
is what it is. Lon
