Leaking oil pans are often caused by mushroomed bolt holes.
Get some 3/4" thick wood as a base for tapping the holes flat with a ball 
peen hammer.
As for the RTV, you'll get both postive and negitive comments, but I'll put 
a small bead on the pan side only.
