...or crooks, as I've previously suspected. They tried to sell me a  
replacement for a flat tire on my daughter's car when almost new because  the nail 
entered at "a point that flexes a lot and may not hold a patch". I  refused and 
took it to a tire shop which repaired it without a word. The tire is  still on 
her car.
