<VV> Group 53 battery

Interstate Battery still makes one; check with your local dealer.

Also check places that sell industrial batteries.  The place I bought my last one from had two batteries in stock because some trailer mounted portable welding units use two, 24volts.

Hi 
 
Just ventured over the Clarks Corvair site to look for 
a battery for my 64 Spyder and discovered that they no 
longer have the lower cost battery, stocking only a 
script battery that costs $250.00 plus shipping. ouch. 
I wish now that I had ordered a spare a few years ago. 
 
Does anyone know where I can find a group 53 battery 
that won't use up ALL of my little present from 
President Bush before I even get it.. 
 
If none is available can someone suggest what to use?
