<VV> Opinion Needed - RTV on Oil Pan Gasket

I prefer the thick "paper" gasket with a very thin spread of RTV.  I'm sure 
you will get other opinions.

I always seem to have trouble over time with the cork gaskets as they age 
and begin to leak, need to tighten up the bolts and squish the cork.  Maybe 
it's just me?
