Ron, he's coming across the High Desert, not through Phoenix or  Indio;  he 
shouldn't find temps. higher than the '90's from Needles across  through 
Barstow to the north foot of Cajon Pass; he may run hotter going over  Cajon, but 
he'll cool off coming down the other side.
