Well, mine's a truck (only EM I've ever had) but I was able to remove the
glass (the original was de-laminating) and seal using "release agent". The
fresh (well better anyway) glass then went in using double sided black
tape - and then trimmed with a razor blade. The vent window frames were not
removed from the truck although I did put in fresh rivets. The repair has
lasted several years now. Maybe this will work for your situation?

Later, JR

Subject: <VV> EM vent window removal. HELP

Being a LM person since the '65 came out, I haven't touched an EM since
then. Problem is I have acquired a '61 that a buddy and I are going to fix
up for resale and I need to know how the heck to remove a EM vent window to
remove the beautiful rubber window seal on spare EM doors we have gotten.

The '61 seals are DOA since the car is from the South West.

It looks like the whole side window must come out to do it. I have an EM
assy manual, but no doors/windows are included.
