has anyone converted an early a/c system to R134a? is it worth the hassle?
do i need to reseal the compressor? i want to keep it as stock as possible.
i can get some r12 if needed from my old business.. now i am sorry i sold all
of mine. the only leak i found so far on it is an o ring on the back of the
compressor. i will repair that and try again with the vacuum. then i plan on
a new filter / dryer then reload.
it has been 16 years since i have worked on any a/c stuff so i better study
it before i get too far into it. i do still have tools / gauges to work on the
 old stuff.
regards, tim colson
