<VV> The stock market and Corvairs!!

Let's examine the issue of money in the market versus buying, owning and
enjoying a Corvair!

I bought my 66 Corsa Convertible in 1993 for $350 lying in a field with a
rod lying on top of the battery! I did a ground up resto on it and completed
it in 1994. I invested about $3500 plus about 150-250 man hours on all the
details.
Let's say for the sake of argument there was $6000 spent total in 1994!

Let's take that same $6k and put it into a fund paying an average of 6%; I
think you see where I am going here!

I have driven, showed, auto crossed, and taken my wife out on dates with the
top down for 17 years!

I can only guess the value of the car in today's market; however I am sure
conservatively it is in the range of 10-15K depending on how bad I wanted to
sell it and how bad someone wanted it!

Could we say the same for the $6k back in 1994??

Long term drivable value, you bet!

I will take the Vair any day of the week!

Cordially,
