<VV> padded dash

Several years ago I removed a fried padded dash from a '60 Monza and was delighted to find that the glossy red paint below the pad was in perfect shape.  I don't remember  what solvent I used to remove the old glue, but I'd bet it was either kerosene or WD-40. Use a plastic scraper. Don't use carb cleaner or lacquer thinner as you will damage the paint. And don't reinstall the trim around the speaker -- the 4 small holes are not very noticeable. Good luck -- if I could do it, anyone can!
