<VV> FW: UPS Express Mail Scam - Buy some Corvair parts with the money

What is the complete scam ? What does the letter say about what to do
before cashing the check ?

Seems "risk free" to me - simply return it if the bank notices (and
there's a good chance once they have it, they won't.)

My brother once tried to get some extra time to pay some bills by
putting the wrong name on the checks or not signing them, but they
cleared them anyway.

The bank also has a responsibility - and a liability ? - if they "clear"
it. If they come back two months later, say "Sorry - prove it."

So, cash it and see what happens. You can always return the money if
they
screw up and give it to you.
