Does the Late model coil bracket only have one mounting hole going over the
stud?

Thanks

The late bracket mounts down onto only one stud. The bracket is a teardrop
shape with both ends clamped shut together. One screw goes through the two to
tighten the clamp portion onto the coil. There is a small tab bent out from
the bracket which drops into a hole in the sheet metal when the holes/slots
slide over the stud. This tab keeps the bracket from rotating radially. To
remove the coil, you must remove the bracket from the engine, then loosen the
screw which clamps the bracket tight around the coil. Then the coil will slide
out. Assembly is reverse of that. - Seth
