<VV> U-joint replacement

OK,

Now that I have determined that I need to replace my U-joints, I have a few
questions:

1.	Back in the 80's I had a 70 mustang. I used a socket and large "C"
clamp to press the U-joints out/in. It worked very well. Can I plan to do
the same thing?
2.	Should I just plan to remove the axle and do it on my bench with my
vice? How difficult is the yoke to remove without the special tool shown in
the green book?
3.	I could only find info in the green book for U-joint replacement. Is
there another source for info? I just like to read as much as I can.
4.	Am I making too much of this and will be embarrassed when I finally
do it and find out that there is nothing to it?

If I'm going to do one, I might as well do both and be done with it. That's
why I ordered two.

Thanks as always,
