Another way to possible drain the oil: I have drained transmission
fluid which is admittedly much thinner than new motor oil. I used a
plastic hose inserted through the filler tube, suctioned some out to
start the siphon  and walked away. You cant go through the oil filler,
but you could try thru the dipstick tube. I know the opening  is
small, but you can have all day to do it.

I have also pulled the drain plug SLOWLY and hurriedly put it back in.
Just cleaned a lot of oil from my arm...
