Try one of the aerosol can foaming type glass cleaners. Stoner's Invisible 
Glass is one brand name (available at Wal-Mart).  I have found that this 
stuff usually cuts through the baked-on oily crud that gets on the inside 
of windows of cars parked in the sun.
