I just read a book about "barn finds" and some of the rare cars people have come up with when they started asking about old cars stored in places they would not have thought of looking, however none were Corvairs. I suggest looking and asking about cars, specifically Corvairs when you're around someone that may know of a Corvair stashed away somewhere. Who knows, you may find one really worth your time. Maybe that elusive "69 number 6000 may show up somewhere. Ken

Well, my car DID have a "push button transmission on the dash". Of course it was a 1958 Plymouth but it was BLACK like my Corvair so "maybe" it was related.<GGGGG>
And the REAL trouble is that these people not only VOTE but they REPRODUCE!!!!

... Most folks seemed as concerned with the Beatles as with this new country
called Vietnam that was just getting air time with Chet Huntley and David
Brinkley.

LBJ's long-eared beagles graced the cover of Life magazine. A massive
earthquake
rocked Alaska. Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello seemed to be on every
beach
 at once.

GM was advertising the new Pontiac Tempest GTO while still making Ralph
Nader's
favorite Corvair with push button gears !
