Hugh,

I'm sure you were trying to save the VV community from getting  
themselves in, what you understood to be a bad situation.  
Unfortunately, as with many things on the internet, it looks like this  
just isn't true.

Some suggestions:

1. Always sign your complete name to your posts, as you're supposed to  
do. We like knowing who's posting what.

2. Don't post political subjects like this here. You may mean well,  
but many don't take that way. We don't subscribe to VV to read this  
type of information.

3. Whenever you see things like this or get an e-mail about something  
like this, research it before you believe it or pass it on to others.  
I always do this at snopes.com. There are a couple of other sites too.  
Most sensational information like this simply isn't true. Remember the  
old, "If it seems too good to be true..." saying? It sorta' applies  
here too.

4. If you really believe this sensationalist news, read this: http://www.snopes.com/computer/internet/clunkers.asp
