Hmm.  I was surprised that the 110 in the parts Corsa didn't ping at  
all, but I was using 93.  87 seems awfully low, and the dieseling is  
of concern.  If works better with 89 I'd use that.  I wonder if the  
fuel has changed again and our engines like it better.  Offhand, I'd  
guess that using alcohol instead of MTBE might lead to a cooler burn,  
which would be good for us.

One extra data point - I would not count on audible knock as being the  
same as no knock.  After seeing the Safeguard in Kent Sullivan's car  
at work, knock definitely starts before you can hear it.
