ken-couldn't agree more. back then and before that everything was by snail
mail and corsa was "a good old boys club" at best. running for a bod (at
that time) was like being exiled as nothing ever got changed. we are now
living with that. imho the question that needs to be asked is "what do we
want corsa to be in 5, 10 15 years from now and how much to we want to pay
to get there". where are we going to get future (younger) members from?
depending on what age bracket you want to target there are problems with
each. person born in 1969 is now 40 years old and in most cases knows
nothing about corvairs. my 15 year old granson doesn't know what a clutch
pedal is for. maybe looking into joining vcca would be a smart move. they
say in their missom statement it's to promote vintage chevys and corvairs
qualify for that. it's somewhat like mark a. setting up the race track day
with another car club so both could afford it. it might be time for corsa to
swallow it's pride and join forces just so it can survive. if not then do
nothing because the problem isn't severe enough to warrent any action. if
thats the case then could we go onto important?-just my thoughts-mike
