<VV> Temp/Pressure light problem.

I have a baffling problem with the Temp/Pressure light on the dash of my 65 Corsa convertible.  It does not come on when I turn on the ignition.  With the ignition on I get power to the back of the socket on the BLK/RED wire.  There is no power at the back of the socket on the other-light blue-wire.  The bulb is good.  Any help?
