<VV> Membership question -- 100% vs Not.

As JR Read and I have been discussing offline a bit earlier today;

A car club can't be directed by those who WON'T join, for whatever reason!

Glad to read that CORSA is changing membership renewal early this coming
year, since the 100% proposal gives CORSA a better chance of surviving than
it has now.

This whole country is headed for some very tough times, and organizations at
every level will be forced to become more pro-active financially, just to
ensure
their own survival. CORSA is just one, of hundreds of thousands.

If the non-members do force a split with the news, what are they going to
do, gather outside the gate at the next National Convention with signs
saying
'CORSA- unfair to non-members'?

But I'd rather be a member of THAT surviving orgaization, than watch the
present one wither and fade because the BOD were too weak to demand that
those involved, behave in a more cohesive, supportive manner.

How about discussing the effects of CORSA ceasing to exist at all?
As I said yesterday, imagine-NO national conventions, NO performance events,
due to NO insurance, NO VV national online forum, NO Communique, etc.

And I'll state one more time, if these dis-affected individuals did try to
organize themselves, they'd just find themselves faced with all the same
problems
CORSA has, but at a start-up level, with even fewer motivated members.

Mel
