Dave, again,  IMO, and based on converting several Corvairs to 3rd brake 
light systems,  it does not get any easier than this:

I would however (also based on real experience with Corvair  
installations), for full illumination, use a slave relay between the  AT-LC-1 and the 3-rd 
brake light.
