All: Thank you Wade.

When I first read the original post from Jason, my mental response was
something like "Is that so? How big is your room?"

Methinks most of us have no idea of the list of material CPF has, or could
get their hands on, including additional cars, if it had a good place for a
long term display.

The big problem for CPF was and is money and people to make all the good
ideas, which are really cheap, happen. Neither problem a surprise or likely
to be improved in the near future. For much the same reasons, getting CPF
displays created and sent to museums isn't likely to happen in the near
future.

Historically Yours,
                   James Rice

I have to disagree that there is not enough Corvair memorabilia to fill a
room in a museum. When we had the Corvair Museum in Richmond, VA, we had
about 2000 sq. ft. of space and could not display everything. However,
there are financial matters for a Corvair-only museum that would be hard to
overcome without a very large input of funds.

Well I think this topic should be the first order of business for the CPF.
Also I have heard some people talking about getting a museum for ONLY
Corvairs. I do not think this would be practical for many reasons. Expense
for one (heating cooling electricity staff) But also the Corvair only ran
for ten years and had BASICLY only two changes Early and Late. I know there
were variations but I don't think that is enough for an entire museum. Even
with all the memorabilia it would barley fill up one room. Sharing a museum
with at least other CHEVY's is ideal. You can share the costs and make it
more interesting for the visitors. Just a thought.
