New opinions often appear first as jokes and fancies, then as blasphemies
and treason, then as questions open to discussion, and finally as established truths...

This is either by Bernard Shaw or in a fortune cookie - not sure which :)

Any hooo & with all due respect, I have not seen any excessive childish behavior here.
Perhaps, it's the nature of cyber zone which could at times, make suggestions and
differing views, appear as cold hearted jabs...

If you look closely, the glass here [although not filled to the brim] is more than half full :)

  Welcome !

  Ok, Guys!
As a woman and a newbie in Corsa and I have been reading this banter back and forth for days, now. As a new member of Corsa(less than a year) I find it disturbing that a bunch of grown men are arguing back and forth with each other over these issues. I go on VV to get good tech advice and see whats going on in the Corvair world. I trully am a car gal and love to soak up all the tech stuff. But this is getting out of hand.
Maybe, as a woman, it's that you fellas remind me of a bunch of old ladies at the beauty shop ripping apart the gal who looks better than them!! Everybody seems to have their own idea as to what will help Corsa. I'll tell you what won't...reading this stuff for days, now. If you want new members and want to keep them this won't do. I have gotten very good advice, via this site, about my car. And yes, Corsa is important, also. But this, so far, has not been constructive. So, quit the arguing and sit down like adults and figure something out. I will gladly pay my dues increase if it will keep Corsa alive, I will gladly pay whatever to buy tech guides, as we all know they are essential to keeping our wonderful cars alive. I am somewhat skeptical, though, about seeking advice from a bunch of guys who spend their time whining across cyberspace instead of getting down to business and doing what is necessary to keep our hobby alive. A few posts back someone
said that Corsa is not the BOD but it's members. People have made suggestions, so instead of criticizing, think about the suggestions, the pros and cons, and go from there. But for crying out loud, be constructive, not destructive. Do you really think that us newbies(nice name) want to see our prospective mentors acting like this?
Sorry if I have offended anyone..the way I look at it, I'm a member(gladly) so I should be able to put my observations up for all to see.

  p.a.b. have a great day
