It is back to hard starting when the car has sat in my carport for a few

Hello Jay,
I suggest a little diagnostic work.

When trying to start the engine are you first setting the chokes by
depressinbg the accel pedal once? Are the chokes set properly?

When trying to start, how many times have you depressed the accel pedal?
Each time should squirt fuel into the engine. So are your accel pumps working?
Please verify visually. Does the this help the starting?

It seems pretty logical that when it refuses to start after setting for 2 to
3 days and none of the above works, AND the problem is not ign or some other
problem, the fuel in the bowls is gone.

So the first thing to do is verify this. Let it set for several days and
then remove just the covers of both carbs and note the fuel level in the bowls.
>From the top of the bowl, the fuel level should be less than an inch below.
What do you find? Are both carbs the same?

If the fuel is low, is it leaking out some place?

Let us know and we can go from there.
Regards,
