Subject: <VV> Cincinnati Corvair Club's 31st Annual WINTER SWAP
Saturday,1/31/2009

Hey guys and gals,
I've not seen an announcement on this, so I thought I'd step up to the
plate...
My very dear friends in the Cincinnati Corvair Club are continuing the
tradition of the annual WINTER SWAP again this year. The meet will take
place at:

Ohio National Guard Armory
3000 Symmes Road
Hamilton, Ohio 45015

Doors will open at 7:00 am, and I believe the ladies of the club will be
selling coffee & donuts and hotdogs & sodas to help raise a little money as

well. Things start wrapping up around 1:00 pm, and by 2:00 pm things are
usually
packed up and outta there... so come early!

Here are the directions:
Follow I-275 East or West and take Exit 41 to the North.
Follow Route 4 (Dixie Highway) 2.2 miles and turn right on By-Pass Route 4.
By-Pass Route 4 to Symmes Road, 1.5 miles.
Turn Left on Symmes Road.
It is 0.9 miles to the Armory, and it will be on your right.
SPONSOR: Corvair Club of Cincinnati

I was a fixture at the Winter Swap through the 1990s when it was held
closer
to Cinci, which is where I met our VV moderator Mike... it seems like a
million years ago.... it's a 300 mile one-way trip for me now, so I don't
know if
I'll be there or not, but if the weather is good, there's a good chance
I'll
show up.
The supply of Corvair parts isn't what it was 15 years ago, but there are
still some deals to be had... I have fun just getting up there and talking
with
the guys who introduced me to the finer points of Corvair ownership... I
think I first found those guys about 18 years ago... many of them were
already in
their mid 40s and older, and I was still in my early 20s, not quite "wet
behind the ears", but still learning the ropes... they took me in, and I
soaked
up their teachings like a sponge... now those fellows are retired, or close

to it, and they've slowed down just a bit... one never knows what the
future
holds, so I like to get up there and see my "mentors" while I can...
They're a good bunch of fellows....
Speaking of which, here's the contact info, if you want to be a vendor
there
or have any questions:

Call Mike and Patty Demeter, 513-737-7981

Later,
Lonzo
