<VV> washer pump update

Dave, I actually have three old ones.  I had hoped to find enough "good" old
parts to make one.  However, not one of them has a decent diaphragm.  I have
some sheet rubber.  When I get back from JAX, I am going to try and make
one.  I'll let you know how that goes.

Have you tried repairing your old one?  I took mine apart and discovered
the rubber valves were stuck.  A little silicone and it was good as new.

Well, I did go with the softest word I could think of that would
adequately
describe the product.  ;-)

But, seriously, for the record, my beef is with the product, not the
vendor.
I will keep trying.  Got to be an easier way to get those danged (can we
use
that word?) bugs of the windshield.
