<VV> Just Converted Van to Electric Fuel Pump

Used one of the vendors kits. We (my genius buddy and I) used both an
inertia and oil pressure switch. Also incorporated was a "fuel pump blanking
plate," allowing the use of a dummy stock fuel pump; this allows reuse of the
stock fuel line, in their original, factory locations. The kit, as is, was
very well put together and came with good instructions. However, we didn't
particularly like the idea of constantly running the fuel pump power load
through the impact and oil pressure switches; so, a fuel pump power relay
was incorporated. Also problematic (with the relay-added method, and, I
believe, also the vendor method) would have been the incorporation of the stock
over-temp circuit: if the temp switch made while the fuel pump was
powered, the inline fuel pump fuse would have been taken out (blown). This issue
was side stepped by the use of a judicially placed diode. My only
reservation: the oil pressure switch  does not operate the oil warning light directly;
rather, when/if oil pressure is lost, the relay opens, and then the light
comes on (the over temp indication, however, operates independent of the
relay). If interested, the schematic may be viewed at:
