<VV> V8 Conversion

By the time you buy a 215 or its derivatives, tear it down, rebuild it, etc., it's not cheap. The LS series V8s have been out since 1997, or a total of 13 model years. I'll bet you'll find a nice, clean, running LS1 for less than you'll spend making a nice 215, and it'll be FAR more powerful.

SBC SBF? too much weight for rear .... the kinky novelty would wear off

pretty quick .....consider one of the several aluminum 4 cyl engines

available ... a Cobalt with a turbo would be so so trick .. but would

require some brain twisting ... oh, and some money ... did I mention

 money?

Why not use a Rover (Land Rover) V8? they are the same as the Buick/Olds

215 V8 but cast different and some of them are stroked for more CID.

There

is a 'Vair in L.A. with the 215 in it and the weight balance is quite

 good; handles well.

Seeing as how 'Vair owners are somewhat tightfisted, the 215 can be had

for much less than the LS series and might not have too much loss in

performance.l
