<VV> Electric fuel pump inertia switch

I decided on my Rampside to start living a little less dangerously and to (finally) install an inertia switch. I went to the junkyard over the weekend and went into the Ford section (I think the second time in my life I was in that section) and was amazed at the number of cars that came equipped with them. I grabbed a couple while I was there and now am ready to install. I noticed everyone was mounted vertically and was wondering where others have mounted them on their Corvairs. Do you guys (and gals) put a fuse before this switch or after for that matter? I am also going to install one in my ongoing project '62 Monza Wagon. Anyone?
