<VV> Beware of the wrong YH pump

I have had a couple of phone calls this week from DIY carb rebuilders asking for a replacement accelerator pump because the one in the kits they purchased on ebay was "installed upside down" on the pump shaft. What they have, however, is a pump intended for the Carter YF carburetor. My concern is about how many of these might be out there. I know it happens because I got one in a kit from a large supplier before I started buying individual parts and making up my own kits. It is possible to install the pump if you don't pay close attention in lining up the 5 holes in the rubber with those in the pump housing. The outlet hole for the YF is on the opposite side of the pump. So, if you are having problems with your carb and did the same, it might be worth checking. FWIW,
